Al-Taj News – Al-Faisaly Club’s head coach, Tarek Mostafa, confirmed that his team is ready to face Omani club Al-Nahda on Wednesday, as part of the second round of Group C in the AFC Champions League Two, noting that the team seeks to secure a victory and boost its chances of qualifying.
Speaking during a press conference held on Tuesday, Mostafa said that Al-Faisaly respects Al-Nahda, stressing that his players understand the importance of the match and its requirements, and aspire to deliver a performance befitting the club’s value and standing.
He added that Al-Faisaly enters the match in high spirits following its victory over Al-Salt in the fourth round of the Jordanian Pro League, noting that the team was affected in the first half of that match by the international break before regaining its presence in the second half and securing the win.
Mostafa pointed out that the match against Al-Nahda represents an important Asian fixture for Al-Faisaly, which seeks to make up for its 3-4 defeat against Qatar’s Al-Rayyan in the tournament’s first round, stressing that the team came close to equalizing after delivering a good second-half performance.
